Davido vs baby-mama drama: Davido apologises to Dele Momodu

Nigerian pop star, Davido and his baby-mama Sophia, were recently embroiled in a fight over the custody of their daughter Imade, a battle which went viral on the social media.
How it happened
First, Sophia and her family reportedly started the drama after filing a petition against Davido and his family for alleged child trafficking. All of this, led Davido to release a lengthy recount of his side of the story via his Instagram handle which has generated a lot of different views in the public domain
According to him: “I became the father of a love-child. DNA testing determined with maximum proof that I indeed was the father of my daughter, delivered by a head-butting casual lover, Miss Sophia Momodu. I met Sophia when I was barely 21 years old. She was many years older than me and was able to manipulate and exploit my youth, naivety and generosity. Sophia is the mother of my daughter, and no more! She never would be my wife and she was never qualified for that status. Her background is very dissimilar from mine, and she has very paltry education and equally diminished physical attributes. Cunningly, she moved into my house because she claimed she has no place to stay in Lagos and that her father is late and her mother is resident in Abuja. I have accepted what providence brought my way including my own personal indiscretions. But I also have been burdened by the lapses in the character of Sophia and have thus suffered for my daughter who I love as much as my late mother, Imade. As for the person of Sophia, I paid a two year rent for her apartment at Lekki and she receives a monthly allowance of 300,000 naira from me ever since Imade was born. This December, Sophia received 500,000 naira as her Allowance and Christmas bonus. On a routine hospital check, my daughter was found to be infested with massive dosage of poisonous cannabis that she contracted from the breast feeding regime of her mother’s breast. We still don’t know how much Imade was damaged by this toxic feeding and medical tests and procedures continue to rise and bemuse me and my family members. Already, Imade has special needs and has been treated at the American Hospital,Dubai with all medical costs and travel expenses drawn off my personal purse ever since she was born. On December 29, Imade was supposed to travel, once more, to Dubai for further medical care. A family vacation was attached to this medical trip. But our family plan was truncated by Sophia, her uncle, Dele Momodu in the company of his wife, and all these persons were the significant accessory to the Lagos Airport debacle. It is this incidence of December 29 that made implicitly necessary to bring my family matter to the public domain. “
According to Sophie, her daughter Imade Aurora Adeleke has been with the Adelekes since July 11, 2015. She sent a petition addressed to the Director-General National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons to prevent her daughter’s travel.
In recent developments, Davido has apologized to Dele Momodu and his fans over the baby abduction drama .According to him: “Mr. Dele Momodu I apologise but …U didn’t have to”
The artist insisted that  the allegations against him were false, saying, “All these lies being put on me … no be today … I have so much to say but in respect for my daughter I will keep quiet … I apologiz.”
He appreciated his supporters and those “bashing” him, adding that “The truth will come out! Even if I don’t keep her, she will grow up to know I fought for her.”

Google Founder Sergey Brin and Wife Anne Wojcicki Finalize Divorce

Sergey Brin, one of Google’s co-founders, and his Wife Anne Wojcicki have made it official. They are now divorced.

The couple split in 2013 after Mrs. Brin caught her hubby fooling around with a much younger woman in her 20s who worked for Google, Amanda Rosenberg.
Sometimes success changes people. Apparently Brin, who is worth an estimated $30 million, had been playing the field for a while before Anne caught him. A friend of theirs told Vanity Fair, “Instead of just being a Google founder, Sergey was suddenly awesome, a cool person, a performer — a celebrity. And he was like, ‘Wait a second — I’m doing all this cool stuff, and then I have to come home and change diapers?'”
Brin is currently dating a very much younger Nicole Shanahan, founder of the patent technology company ClearAccessIP.

Popular Nollywood actor Chiwetalu Agu cries out confessing what acting wicked characters in movies has done to His life

Popular Nollywood actor, Chiwetalu Agu, often acts the role of a wicked man in movies. And his depictions are so real that many fans believe that is his real character. In this chat with Showtime Celebrity, he explains that the negative reaction of fans towards his wicked roles is what actually led him into acting comic roles. Excerpts…
You seem to have an affinity for comedies; why is that?

Chiwetalu Agu

Can you share instances when fans reacted to you with the belief that you’re a wicked man?
I wouldn’t call it affinity. Years ago, I found out that most of the scripts that were brought to me didn’t have comic relief; I was always given roles of a wicked man and I got to understand that most of my fans were not pleased with it. Some of them felt it was something real, and the consequence was that whenever I stepped out in public, I was caught in embarrassing situations. I then decided to be infusing comic relief even when I’m playing wicked characters because I’m a veteran  screen writer. In the early 80s, we were operating in NTA Enugu, which was formerly Anambra Television Channel 50, so the talent is there, and I combined it with the wicked roles they were giving me. The result is that when you are watching me play a wicked role, you will still have cause to laugh, and ease your tension. In fact, I have achieved a lot by doing that.
They have done daring things. Some of their actions look like attacks, but with my experience as an entertainer, I will say I saw all that coming, so I was able to manage all of them very well. But one day, while I was on Onitsha ‘Head Bridge’ on my way to  Asaba, there was this traffic snarl that made us come out of the car. One fan came to hail me and slap me on the shoulder in the course of appraising my unique style of acting. Some other persons cautioned him, and he fired back by saying, ‘Don’t you know this man is my all-in-all? He makes me happy; whenever I’m not happy, I just slot in his movie, and I become happy.’ That was an embarrassing incident, but I saw it coming because that was the period I was playing evil diabolical roles. However, I also touch lives, because sometimes when we shoot movies, it’s like we’re telling some people’s life story. You know, talking about what happens in various families where wicked uncles deal with their nephews and things like that. But like I said earlier, I thank God that I have found a way of getting people to laugh at the same time they watch me play wicked roles.
Is there any role you would love to play that you’ve not had the opportunity to?
I am planning my own production outfit, and the name of my company is Chukwuwetalu Films. By the grace of God, when we take off, I’m going to be playing roles such as a true man of God, a romantic figure, and other characters that people haven’t really seen me portray. My fan clubs all over the world will then have the opportunity to see me doing well in those areas.
Some people say that Nigerian actors are not properly trained; what do you have to say about that?
We can’t do without film schools. There should be regular workshops where actors will be trained and retrained because all we have been doing mostly came from no background. But I will still commend our people because without a solid background, they have been able to prove their mettle, and I know that everything is going to improve in terms of acting when these schools start working and people go there on regular basis to get trained. It will help the industry grow better.
Recently, a picture of you grabbing the boobs of an actress, Anita Joseph, on a movie set went viral; what really happened?
They are my daughters. It was a story, and we were playing our roles. Maybe you didn’t have time to watch that movie to understand what was going on. The main character in that movie was Ini Edo who was rascally, and more of a tom-boy. If she fought with my daughters, she would defeat them, so I did everything to prepare strong grounds for them to overpower her, but it wasn’t possible. So I said since that failed, let’s look for another way to prepare them to live their lives, so that any suitor who sees them will fall in love and marry them. That way, they will be useful since they failed in fighting a common enemy. The scene that went viral was where I was dressing them up for a burial ceremony that was coming up where I expected men to see them, and to find them attractive enough to take as wives. You know women’s bust plays a very big role in attracting any man who comes as a suitor, but people who wanted sensation made the picture go viral to sell their media. If I tell you now that I help some children in the motherless baby’s home, it may not be as sensational as when they say that I raped a minor.
But how does your wife react to scenes like that?
If I have up to one million fans, my wife will be number one. The greatest joy she derives is watching me act; no matter how negative the role is, because she is the only person that knows me better than anyone else since we live together. She knows how gentle and wonderful I am. She also knows how philanthropic I am because I always love to help humanity. So when she sees me in those kinds of scenes, she knows I’m just acting. Each time I churn out a catch-phrase, byline or slogan, she laughs so hard that even the person who is one mile away will hear the sound. She doesn’t find anything I do in films embarrassing at all; the reverse is the case.
You mean she even tells you to do it better if she feels it’s not good enough?
Yes, she chips in her own advice on how to make my acting more comical. She knows I’m a very strong comic character; comedy is in my nature, and that is the first thing that makes her happy that I’m her husband. There are some husbands that always have hard countenances, and their wives fear them, but I’m not like that. As far as I’m concerned, she is my biggest fan.
Is any of your children taking after you?
My second son is comical in nature. At times, he goes out of his way to wear women’s dress to make caricature out of some ideas. Then my first son; each time I return from anywhere, he greets me with the slogan of my last movie he watched. One of my daughters is a fashion designer, and whenever she dresses herself up, she looks more attractive and fashionable than any other girl of her age. The creative nature runs in the family and I’m sure that when they all come out of school, they are going to fit into my company because it’s going to be a conglomerate by God’s grace, producing many titles,  including comedy, tragedy, and many others. I’m also going to be involved in distributing directly to houses and offices.
So you encourage them to take it serious?
Why not? Their school fees come from what I’m doing, their feeding, and everything about their welfare comes from this. They have shown the flair already; all I have to do is encourage them.
How do you intend to surmount piracy with your company?
I believe that the biggest problem in the industry is piracy. About five years ago, I went to NIPOST in course of carrying out a survey on how to make marketing work and beat piracy. I bought a book called post codes from NIPOST, and it contains all the street codes and numbers in Nigeria. After that, I went to the National Population Commission (NPC), Abuja, to get two of their books which contained records ending 2006. When I start my company, my subscribers, who will be up to 50million, will be paying into a designated account. Whenever anybody pays, the official vehicles of my company, will deliver the consignment either to the person’s house or office wherever they are in the country. The movies will not be sold on the open market, so if you see it in the open market, everybody will know it’s a pirated copy.

How I got back my trimmed body three weeks after birth —Lizzygold Onuwaje

It’s been just about a month, actress and former Miss Delta State, Lizzygold Onuwaje, surprised us all with her baby bump photos and the birth of her child. Naturally, she should be a nursing mother and worried sick how to get her former shape back? But not Lizzy, as she is already up and about and looking like she has never passed through the labour room.
From the photos she sent to Potpourri, it is as clear as day, that the actress has a secret recipe to have turned out looking something that just came off the production line of a manufacturing company. “After birth, I avoided fatty, oily and solid meals.
All I did was drink hot liquid meals for a week with very light meals” she said in a chat with Potpourri.
“And then, I did exercises on my tummy. I didn’t give it a break and I always drank very hot pepper soup made by my mum.
Pepper soup is medicinal and that did the magic for me” she squirmed “ I did pelvic bone exercise, it is good to exercise the first week after birth because then the tummy fat is still very tender and will be easy to burn”she said.

Popular reggae artist Majek Fashek finally opens up saying "Mental Health Very Important"

Popular reggae artist, Majek Fashek, says mental health is very important in the lives of people and a nation.

Majek Fashek
Fashek spoke at the 46th Annual General Conference and Scientific Meeting of the Association of Psychiatrists in Nigeria (APN) in Lagos on Wednesday.
Fashek said, mental health is not a yardstick to look down upon people.
“There is need to create a system to manage or rehabilitate people who are not mentally balanced and as well create more awareness on mental health challenges and appropriate management.
“Government should look into how to rehabilitate mental health patients as most of them have great potentials and talents’’, Fashek said.
Dr Richard Adebayo, the Acting Medical Director, Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Yaba, said mental health Act was necessary in the country.
Adebayo, added that mental health was integral to the stability of any nation.
“Most of the burning issues confronting us as a nation, such as insecurity, economic crisis, just to mention a few, have grave mental health concerns.
“The health impact is often unquantifiable; and we know there is no health without mental health.
“Unfortunately, we don’t have a workable and realistic policy direction, no mental health Act to guide us and protect the rights of our patients.
“It is critical to deliberate on vital issues that will promote the very change we desire and enlighten our policy makers that mental health is very crucial in our collective drive towards the positive change’’, Adebayo said.
He added that lots of people were well dressed, “but mentally, they are not okay.
“Consequently, to kick-start our security system, economy and general life as a nation, good mental health is very crucial.
“It will also help practitioners to guide their practice, help our people to be rehabilitated and not to be abandoned’’, Adebayo said.
Prof. Joseph Adeyemi, President of APN, said the conference will draw experience from globalisation.
Theme of the conference is: “Mental Health as a Driver for Positive Change.’’

Cynthia Morgan finally open up about her celebrity crush

Cynthia Morgan
Everybody has somebody they fantasized about in their secret world of dreams. Sometimes, it may be so embarrassing one may not even want to come to terms with the yearnings. Even celebrities are not off the hook in this regard. As people wish these celebrities live in their secret worlds, these celebrities also have people they play fantasy with in their own secret world too.
So, with many like her, our dancehall queen of reggae, Cynthia Morgan also has her crush and it’s another celebrity that sings like her.
In a recent chat with Potpourri she revealed the person. “My celebrity crush? That will be Davido, because for me he is hardworking. Over the years he has been able to prove himself that he is talented     and not all about being a rich kid and I think he is cute too” she declares. But would she go out with him if and when Davido asks her out
Davido
“Cool, but because I am crushing on him doesn’t mean I want to have a relationship with him. But if he says: ’Oh my God! I love you.’ We can work something out” she says. Recall that the dancehall star has a thing in her crying out to Burna Boy as well.

See 23 year old model born without legs, and how she makes N220,000 daily

Most women regard their legs as part of their sex appeal. But not Kanya Sesser, the stunning 23-year-old lingerie model. Kanya was born without legs, abandoned at 1 week old, and brought up in a foster home, but even all that has not held her back.
Kanya-Sesser
It has not enough to take the edge off her ambition for success because Kanya now makes an average of N220,000 (US$1000) per day as an underwear model.
Kanya is breaking down the barriers of the modelling world by showing that just because she is different, that doesn’t mean she isn’t sexy.
She defies traditional beauty standards by working as a model, and hopes to prove that “different” is sexy.
No medical explanation is given for Kanya’s condition, but she is believed to suffer from an extremely rare disease condition described as “Amelia”  that presents as complete absence of an arm or leg in as a result of the limb formation process being either prevented or interrupted very early during development as a foetus in the womb.
It is believed that the Amelia syndrome appears to have a recessive pattern of inheritance—that is, the parents of the affected person each carry one copy of the mutated gene, but do not show signs and symptoms of the condition.
In a few cases, amelia may be attributed to health complications during the early stages of pregnancy, including infection, failed abortion or complications associated with removal of an Intrauterine Device after pregnancy, or use of Thalidomide.
From a young age, the young California girl was determined to overcome her disability and started modelling for sports brands at 15.
After shooting for a number of outlets—as well as being featured by Billabong—the beauty was soon scouted by underwear and bikini brands.
Now she combines her modelling career with motivational speaking and her love of sports—she’s currently training for the 2018 Winter Paralympics.
“I was mainly doing athletics shoots then as I got older I got into lingerie modelling,” said Sesser, who lives in Los Angeles. “It’s something fun and it shows my story—I’m different and that is sexy, I don’t need legs to feel sexy.
“I enjoy making money from it and I love showing people what beauty can look like. These images show my strength.”
Sesser didn’t always dream of modelling.
Kanya-Sesser
“It just happened for me and I got used to it,” she said. “I like expressing myself in a different way than people usually see.
“I’m very honest, I’m real—I’m never going to behave different to anyone. This is just who I am.”
Sesser was adopted from an orphanage in Thailand when she was 5 and moved to Portland, Oregon, with her new family.
Instead of a wheelchair, she uses a skateboard to get around and learned to walk on her hands.
Sesser loves extreme sports and hopes to compete in mono-ski in the Winter Paralympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea, in 2018.
One of her biggest fans is her new boyfriend Brian, whom she has been dating for the past month.
“Brian is awesome—he is very supportive of everything I do,” she said. “He recently saw me modeling for first time and told me he thought it was beautiful and unique.”
Despite her work as a model, Sesser admits she prefers her natural looks. She is also working on a book about her incredible journey through life, set to be published in 2016.

All About Don Jazzy

Don Jazzy, as he is fondly called by his fans and all, needs no introduction in the Nigerian music industry. He has been the unseen hand in the music of most emerging Nigerian acts. The Don indeed has seen it all; as a label owner, a musician, and a producer.
*Don Jazzy
*Don Jazzy
Michael Collins Ajereh was the name given to him by his parents. He eventually acquired the stage name Don Jazzy in his launch into music. He hails from Delta state, but was born in Umuahia in Abia state 31 years ago on November 26th, 1982.
His family after his birth relocated to Ajegunle in Lagos state. The Don was raised in Ajegunle city of Lagos state. At age 12, he developed love for the bass guitar. He graduated from Federal Government College Lagos and went further to study Business Management at the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma in Edo state.
Don Jazzy moved to London in the United Kingdom in 2000 after his Uncle invited him to play the drums for a neighborhood Church. Today the Don is rated as the richest music producer/ act in Nigeria and the second richest music personality in Africa.
He is the CEO of Mavin Record label, a record producer, singer-songwriter and a musician. Don Jazzy has won so many awards to his label. He was also formally the CEO of the popular Nigerian record label, MO Hits Records with D’banj as the only artiste.
Mavins Record label
Don Jazzy is a brand without mincing words. According to reports from some artistes, Mavin Record label is arguable the best label in Nigeria. His label has given leverage to top musical icons like Tiwa Savage, Dr Sid, Prince, Wande Coak and many others who signed on. He was D’banj’s producer, business partner and friend until MO Hits Records dissolved and the duo officially parted ways.
Endorsements and Production credit
Don Jazzy has made so much money from endorsements, callertunes and foreign collaborations. He recently signed a multi-million naira deal with MTN. The endorsement from MTN was for N25m.

He also signed another contract worth millions of naira with Samsung, Africa; the deal was for a N100m. Don Jazzy was paid N50m for being the newest brand ambassador of Loya milk. His production credits for foreign collaborations include working with Snoop Doggy, Kanye West, Beyonce and Jay Z.
Music studio
According to report, Don Jazzy is set to unveil a new recording studio estimated at over N500m. He said in a statement that his studio is going to be a world class studio which is constructed by international sound engineers who have worked with acclaimed international producers.
Houses, club and cars
To say that Mavin Record Boss is  having a swell time living his dream is an understatement. He recently got himself a befitting mansion which cost him more than N300m. According to the reports the mansion is only one of the many properties he had acquired in the choicest part of Lagos as he is in the business of investing on properties and loves driving cool expensive cars. He has a club known as POP which cost him a whooping sum of N50m to build, but has decided to shut it down because of unforseen circumstance.
Although he is perceived to be a calm person, this has not stopped his love for beautiful exotic cars. He was seen cruising in a Porsche which is valued at over N22m. His other car is a Bentley which cost him about N65m to purchase amongst others. He recently took a photograph of his Bentley and uploaded it with a tweet; he described it as “one of his most expensive cars”. Another report has it that he has another car which cost him about N150m to purchase.
Gifts
Don Jazzy has always proven that he has a heart of gold, if he is not giving people money or cars, he is busy employing people. Sometime ago, he was at the airport on his way to South Africa for MTV Base award. And there was this airport cart operator who was doing his work when the Don arrived at the airport. It was one of those days when he felt like doing something interesting and he had asked the cart operator to let him drive.
He and the cart operator who is a staff of Delta Airlines drove through the airport on the shuttle/ golf cart. He was asked by the management to stop the cart or the man would be fired. He eventually stopped it, unfortunately the man was fired. Don Jazzy ended up employing the man. It would also be recalled that Don Jazzy gave Tiwa Savage a car gift of about N16m as her wedding present. The car is a brand new Prado SUV. Don Jazzy was also one of the few that stood by popular musician known as OJB financially during his trying times.

These are important projects Nigeria must do for our cultural posterity. We must tell our stories and document our history. NET is delighted to compile the life stories of this cultural icon of our times so that our children and our children’s children can read it and learn. And this is the first of many to come’.
A Very Good Bad Guy: The Story of Innocent 2Face Idibia is the second in the NET Books series after the Chris Ihidero collection, Wanderings of a Rapidly Degenerating Mind.
NET has been instrumental in the growth and development of the Nigerian entertainment industry through the organisation of the annual Nigerian Entertainment Conference (NECLive) which brings together all entertainment industry stakeholders to discuss mutual challenges and achievements and to set agenda for the year ahead.
Speaking about the book, 2Face himself says ‘It’s a really good feeling knowing that all these years that I’ve been surviving in this industry, someone has been taking note you know…compiling my story so that on an occasion like this, they will release it for the world to see. I’m really feeling the love but importantly I hope those coming behind will read and learn from my story.’
Born in Jos, Plateau State, 2Face Idibia was raised in Makurdi, Benue State where he attended Demonstration Primary School and Saint Gabriel’s secondary school. After a stint at the Institute of Management & Technology (IMT) Enugu, he dropped out to pursue a music career in Lagos in 1997.
In the same year, he teamed up with Ahmedu Augustine Obiabo aka Blackface to form Plantashun Boyz, which was later joined by Chibuzor Orji aka Faze. After achieving success with the band, 2Face left Plantashun Boyz in 2004 to embark on a successful solo career which has spawned six critically acclaimed studio albums and several local and international awards.
